Message from the Pastor...

Thanks for stopping by our website to get acquainted with us. Lackland is a place to belong and sense that you have come home. Our families are made up of just about every age, ethnicity, and background, yet we all have one thing in common...Jesus! We are all in the process of growing in our knowledge of Christ, experiencing the joy of having a relationship with God, and learning to live together as the family of God.

This month is "Family Month" at Lackland, and we have dedicated the entire month to everything "family". I will be preaching a sermon series on Sunday mornings entitled, "Storm-Proofing Your Marriage". I hope that our marriages will be strengthened and we are all encouraged to build God-honoring homes. Friday, February 10th is the regularly scheduled "Family Movie Night". We show fun family movies the second Friday of every month. On Saturday, February 18th, our friends "The Durocher Family" will present a great concert of bluegrass gospel music at 7 pm. They will return on Sunday morning for "Family Day" and a wonderful fellowship luncheon after church. The Durocher's hail from Minnesota, and you will be thrilled to hear all of the kids play guitar, banjo, mandolin, bass, and fiddle while singing favorite gospel songs! Saturday the 25th, we are showing the movie "Fireproof" for our young married couples and their guests. Finally, February 26th will mark our "Baby Dedication" Sunday, where we pray over and dedicate all our new babies, two and under. Don't miss any of these family-centered, God-honoring events during February! I look forward to seeing you here at Lackland!
